Stacking the Shelves (7)

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews - it's a way for us to share the books we received during the week

The video cuts out just at the end, my camera battery kept running out and I didn't want to record for a third time ;)

For review via Netgalley:

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
Tease by Amanda Maciel
Torn Away by Jennifer Brown
Don't Even Think About It by Sarah Mylnowski
The Geography of Me and You by Jennifer E. Smith
Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman

  1. I'm glad you're willing to look past your dislike of The Winners Curse cover because the book truly is amazing!! I hadn't heard of Prisoner of Night and Fog but it sounds really good, adding it to my TBR. Thanks for sharing =)

  6. I always thought I would want to be able to hear people's thoughts but it's mostly because I'm really paranoid and think everyone hates me or thinks awful things about me so it's probably NOT a power I should ever have because I don't think I'd like the results.

  8. I have Don't Even Think About It, too! Yaaaaay, we can compare thoughts. (I've heard it's not really good, so I'm interested to see what you think.) *drools at The Winner's Curse* I've read SO many reviews for that one and each time I'm like, "This is going on my buying list" and then my buying list gets relocated to buying clothes for winter. Dang. Apparently it's NOT socially acceptable to spend winter lying in bed reading books (though it'd save on clothes shopping).

  14. I can't wait to read your reviews of Tease, The Geography of You and Me, and The Winner's Curse! TGYM sounds absolutely adorable and The Winner's Curse receives such high praises. :) I tried to read Prisoner of Night and Fog but I just couldn't get into the story. Hope you have more luck with it. :) Happy reading, Mandee! :)

  15. Ahhhh, cannot contain my jealousy of Dreams Of Gods And Monsters! I love Laini Taylor.

OH YAYYYY for The Geography Of You and Me, that book is so adorable.

I am beyond curious and excited to read Prisoner of Night And Fog and The Winner's Curse.

    Happy reading :-)

  17. I'm not a huge fan of The Winner's Curse cover either, Mandee. I don't mind the big billowy dresses on covers but this one is hard to see and for some reason the color doesn't do it for me. I have heard good things about the actual story, though so I'll be interested to hear if you like it. Enjoy your reads, Mandee! :)

I really liked both The Winner's Curse and Don't Even Think About It. I cannot wait to read The Geography, We Were Liars, and Prisoner of Night. I hope you love all your new lovelies!

  21. I've seem so many people excited about Laini Taylor's new book, so it's great that it was a great end the series! I've got the Winner's Curse and The Geography of You & Me on my TBR too (and I agree with you about so many covers having girls in big dresses - although I do love the type on this one). Torn away sounds really sad and beautiful too - will be checking that one out!

  22. Ooh, I've just read Adaptation. It's on NG because the UK/ANZ version is just about to come out and it was US-only previously. I think you might like it more than I did. It's not very science fictiony (which was what I would've preferred).

  23. Eeeep, Dreams of Gods & Monsters!! :D I didn't read your review since I want to go in with a clean slate...BUT your nails to match were stunning AND I'll visit your review as soon as my copy arrives in the mail, and I devour it ;-D Same goes for Lady Thief - nails were gorgeous but I still need to read Scarlet hehe You got some truly fabulous reads this week : The Winner's Curse sounds brilliant, I've read nothing but positive reviews so far! The Geography of You & Me and Prisoner of Night and Fog have also been getting really wonderful buzz! I hope you enjoy all off these Mands!! xx

  24. Netgalley has been rocking lately, and you picked up some great looking e-arcs! We Were Liars sounds fantastic. I want to read it soon.
Oh! I love your e-reader cover. It is hard to find non-leather ones- I found one on Amazon that I'm using - it's the Verso Prologue.
    Happy reading!
